T h e G i r l

I'll start with the basics. My name is Jess and I'm 17 years young. I was born and live in Australia and have a mix of English/Irish blood also. I live at home with my mum, dad and 2 brothers, in a brick 4 bedroom house that we purchased in 2001 after renting alot. I also have a wonderful boyfriend called Glenn who I spend all my spare time with.

I finished my HSC last year and chose not to apply for Uni, so instead I go to TAFE 4 days a week, where I study a Certificate II in Hairdressing and a Certificate III in Beauty Services. I never felt comfortable at school, but the relaxed, mature learning environment of TAFE is a better option for me. And as for Uni...I've taken a few hard knocks and I'm not the most emotionally stable of people, so a further 4 years of education didn't seem like the best thing for me. I work at Big W as a checkout operator, it's a part time/casual position that means I get 1 shift a week and only bring home $60-$70 a week.

2008, for me, brings a year of testing the water and soul searching. I want to come to some sort of decision about what career path I'm going to undertake and I want to find who I really am. 2007, was a time of learning. I've learnt to: adapt a thicker skin, push through when times get rough, be more mature, think through my decisions better, take chances, break down the walls and barriers I've built and to trust myself and others. Who knew that a year would make such a difference?

My journal is friends only, I'm female and I bitch and whine and say things I shouldn't, just like everyone else. If you want to have access please bere this in mind. I've had people betray my trust before, hence the privacy crackdown. If your after a snoop so you can blab...just don't bother. I do checks beforehand on all add's and chances are if were not friends in the real world, were not going to be on the internet either.
